The stygian Swedish hard rockers release their 7th album 'Circle' at the end of March. The overall sound of the album is the most natural sounding in their discography. The drum sound is in your face without being unnatural dry. The use of alternate tunings on the guitars has created a different sound than on the previous albums and the dark feel that was present on the”Death is Certain, Life is Not” album is more subtle this time around, “Circle” is in overall the most brutal album in the SPARZANZA catalog. It has a rawness and special edge to it that we are really happy to have achieved.
What’s inside the Circle?
It is also the most varied and dynamic album SPARZANZA have ever produced.
Not only that it contains the most brutal-and rawest-songs-and-grooves-that-will-make-heads-bang they have ever written, it also shows a different side on their songwriting skills that is different from what’s been done before. Although it still has the SPARZANZA trade mark sense of melodies. Fredrik Weileby has outdone himself with the most impressive vocal performances ever.
The first sample of the album is the single and video 'Underneath My Skin'. A song with melodies most bands would die for. The single basically has everything that you could expect from a great SPARZANZA track – just a little bit more in every aspect…. Watch the video here.

On March 7th Metsatöll will release their sixth studio album “Karjajuht” (“Pack Leader”).
On the new album Metsatöll has employed a new approach towards its traditional ideas and notions of folk metal. The average pace and tardy epics of its latest studio albums are now things of the past, while new tracks are energetic, melodic and seductive. Naturally, Metsatöll’s entire park of folk instruments from zithers to bagpipes is engaged as well.
The album’s front cover is traditionally created by recognized Estonian artist Jüri Arrak. While the previous two albums of Metsatöll included the artist’s earlier creations, then this time the painting was created especially for the album “Pack Leader”.
Karjajuht will be available in Europe as of March 7, in UK as of March 9. The exact release date in USA will be announced as soon as possible.
“Life is not given to us to suffer and wail, life is given for standing upright on your own two feet! For supporting those who are weaker than you, and to accept help from those who are greater than you. For keeping your own tribe and pride! Only when “me” becomes “us” can we stand strong! Together. Shoulder to shoulder, back to back!”
Amaranthe: Invincible single & video
The third single from AMARANTHE's sophomore album, 'THE NEXUS', is out now, accompanied by a video directed by Patric Ullaeus. The video was shot on location in Hollywood, Las Vegas, the Nevada desert & the Grand Canyon, amongst other locations, and it’s certainly the most ambitious AMARANTHE clip to date.
Comments guitarist Olof Mörck:
“‘INVINCIBLE' is probably my favourite AMARANTHE song so far, and it’s very exciting to see it finally becoming a single and a video! We had an absolute blast shooting it, and this time we flew in Patric Ullaeus and his crew to some kick-ass locations around the USA. People have come to expect elaborate videos from AMARANTHE, but this one certainly takes the cake!"

Spinefarm Records have signed Swedish melodic hard rockers Dynazty. At the moment the band is busy in the studio finalizing their fourth album, titled "Renatus", that will be released early 2014.
in 2009, Stockholm based Dynazty released their debut album and made their first European tour. 2011 the second album "Knock You Down" was #1 on the Sweden's metal charts.
Singer Nils Molin says about the new album and signing to Spinefarm:
This album marks our fourth release as Dynazty but in many ways it feels like our first. After four years, three studio albums and shows on almost every continent of the globe we took the time in late 2012 to really figure out what we wanted this band to be in the future.
Updating ourselves both musically and sonically to a place where we felt that we wanted to be right now was paramount and once we started to write “Renatus” everything fell into place well. Heavier and faster-paced music with big arrangements built around soaring vocal melodies is the recipe for this album and talking about first’s, this is the first album with our new bassplayer and bandmember Jonathan Olsson, the first to be produced by ourselves and the first to be released on Spinefarm, Finland.
Signing to Spinefarm will enable us to work with a label that fully understands our genre and vision and will be able to thoroughly give us the support we need. We are extremely excited to be a part of this label with so many great bands and artists and we believe it will be beneficial on all parts.
Iconic rock ‘n’ roll frontman reveals cover art & track-listing for brand new studio album, ‘Horns And Halos’, out in August 2013 via Spinefarm Records…
Vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, uber-energetic front-man & all-round rock ‘n’ roll legend, Michael Monroe, has revealed the album artwork for new studio outing, ‘Horns And Halos’, confirmed for European release on August 23rd, on August 26th in UK and 27th in USA via Spinefarm Records.
The arresting cover art is based on an idea from Swedish guitar star, Dregen, who features in Michael’s current touring & recording line-up…
“I love logotypes that are a ‘little secret’,” says Dregen, “You know, the ones that are more like signs – Van Halen, Crass, HIM’s Heartagram, etc. That was the starting point…”
‘Horns And Halos’ – mixed by Petri Majuri at Seawolf Studios, Finland – is the follow-up to 2011’s critically-acclaimed ‘Sensory Overdrive’, winner of Classic Rock Magazine’s ‘Album Of The Year’ and a No. 1 record in MM’s Finnish homeland.
Monroe’s touring & recording outfit – bassist Sami Yaffa (ex-Hanoi Rocks/New York Dolls), guitarist Steve Conte (ex-New York Dolls/Company Of Wolves), drummer Karl ‘Rockfist’ Rosqvist (ex-Chelsea Smiles/Danzig) and Dregen – have been hard at work in the studio, providing creative support for a frontman whose reputation is genuinely global and whose influence continues to be felt, with musicians of all ages (from Dave Grohl to the original Gun n’ Roses’ members) citing Michael’s ground-breaking career as a source of inspiration.
‘Horns And Halos’ track-listing:
2. Ballad Of The Lower East Side
3. Eighteen Angels
4. Saturday Night Special
5. Stained Glass Heart
6. Horns And Halos
7. Child Of The Revolution
8. Soul Surrender

The undisputed champions of 'Swamp Metal' return to the scene with new studio album, 'Seventh Swamphony', the follow-up to 2010's '12 Gauge' release.
After 15 years together, with six full length albums under their collective belt, 2013 sees the Finnish musicians delivering Album No. 7 - an eight-track release showcasing this Oulu outfit's trademark frantic, yet melodic death metal style, tempered here by a new-found 'epic mournfulness'.
Set to be released on June 17th 2013 via Spinefarm Records, 'Seventh Swamphony' was recorded at Tico-Tico Studios in Kemi, Finland, and features a selection of brand new tracks, mixed & mastered at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, etc.)
Antti Kokko, Kalmah's lead guitarist, says:
"This album marks a milestone in our careers. We have a new keyboard player, which has given a fresh edge to the music, and we are of course very satisfied with the new material. That is why we wanted to give the songs the best possible chance without compromise; we feel very lucky and privileged to have worked with Jens Bogren."
