‘TIME TO DIE’, THE NEW ALBUM FROM ELECTRIC WIZARD, TO BE RELEASED SEPTEMBER 29TH
+ OFFICIAL ‘I AM NOTHING’ VIDEO CLIP UNLEASHED!
++ ALBUM / BUNDLE PRE-ORDERS LIVE!
Electric Wizard have today revealed that their forthcoming studio album, ‘TIME TO DIE’, will be released on September 29th via Spinefarm Records; ‘TIME TO DIE’ is the eighth full-length offering from the masters of aural punishment, and is testament to the fact that Electric ‘fuckin’ Wizard continue to be the most uncompromisingly heavy, genuinely twisted and evil band in the world.
This will be their first album release since signing a worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records.
In addition to this, a brand new video clip for ‘I am Nothing’ has been unleashed via www.ElectricFuckinWizard.com.
EW guitarist / vocalist Jus Oborn has said of the track, which harnesses the dark underground death metal spirit of 1984:-
"It was the year I became a metal-head. It was heavy shit for real – there was no way you were ever going to get a decent job. So I became a Satanist, I dug up a grave, I got into tape-trading, I had a one-man noise/black/death metal band called Regurgitated Guts, and there were loads of documentaries on TV warning us not to listen to the devil's music..."
All official Electric Wizard pre-order bundles are now live on www.ElectricFuckinWizard.com, featuring limited numbers of vinyl, CD, T-shirt, back-patch & pin badge packages.
Electric Wizard, who have just played headline slots at a number of European festivals, including Hellfest (France), Roskilde (Denmark) and Sonisphere (UK), have the following appearances lined up for 2014, with more shows to be added:-
Aug 16th Jabberwocky, The Excel Centre, London, UK
Sep 12th Reverence Valada, Portugal (headline with Hawkwind)
Oct 10th Desertfest, Antwerp, Belgium
ELECTRIC WIZARD are here for REVENGE.....BE AFRAID.....
Swedish modern rockers confirm release of new / sixth studio album, ‘Phantom Shadow’, for August 25th via Spinefarm Records
Produced & mixed by vocalist Robert Stjarnstrom, who helped form the band back in 2000, ‘Phantom Shadow’ is the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Rise Of A Digital Nation’ (also released via Spinefarm), and sees MS continuing to pursue their own musical path…
This time around, they have delivered an altogether deeper, more intricate, multi-layered body of work; a conceptual release – complete with cellos, violins, guest vocals & spoken word passages – detailing a story (in Stjarnstrom’s head since 2003 and reflected in the album art) that is likely to continue through the next full-length release as well.
In essence, this futuristic narrative touches on man’s use of technology and the quest for greater, ‘super’ powers, and it’s a tale told with considerable flair and the usual strong grasp on choruses and melodies; UK guitarist Mike Dawes – one of the world’s finest ‘finger-style’ players – guests on the track ‘Europa’, and the 16 musical passages (including video track ‘Renegades’) come across like the soundtrack to the kind of cleverly-plotted, fast-paced movie that will keep you guessing until the very end…
As for playing these new songs live, Machinae Supremacy – who toured the UK with Children Of Bodom back in 2011 – are planning a return in October, exact dates tbc; in the meantime, ‘Phantom Shadow’ provides plenty of topics for discussion, and plenty of music to both bang and scratch the head to!
Support provided by BUFFALO SUMMER + MASSIVE…
HAVING RECENTLY played to a bursting-at-the-seams tent at this year’s Download festival, part of a lengthy run taking in major European events and key supports (Alter Bridge, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, etc.), The Treatment have confirmed a second run of UK headline dates in support of current studio album, ‘Running With The Dogs’.
Prior to this tour, the Cambridge rockers will release a new single / video; titled ‘The Outlaw’ and taken fromthe aforementioned album, this live fave has been remixed by US producer Bob Marlette (Rob Zombie, Airbourne, Black Stone Cherry, etc.), and will come with a previously unreleased bonus track.
The 15-date ‘Second Bite’ tour kicks off at the Think Tank in Newcastle on October 6th and finishes at the Audio in Brighton on October 23rd ; support on all shows will be provided by groovy rock ‘n’ rollers Buffalo Summer and Aussie party rockers Massive, making their debut appearances on UK soil.
“We're absolutely stoked to be heading out again in the UK,” says Treatment frontman Matt Jones. “The first leg of the tour in February was so much fun that we thought we should do it all again! Opening for the likes of Aerosmith & ZZ Top has been amazing, but we’re excited to be planning a full set for the autumn – and rest assured we’ll be taking things up another gear… and there might be one or two surprises! We’re delighted that Buffalo Summer and Massive can join us, because we want each of the shows to be a full-on experience from beginning to end. A proper night of rock ‘n’ roll, no half-measures!”
For new Treatment lead guitarist, German-born Fabian Dammers, this will be the first time he has toured the UK, having made his inaugural appearance at Download 2014…

‘1000HP’ will be released on September 1st via Spinefarm Records, and is available for pre-order at the following links:-
Since the release of their self-titled debut (1998), the Boston quartet – Sully Erna (lead vocals / guitar), Shannon Larkin (drums), Robbie Merrill (bass) & Tony Rombola (lead guitar) – have notched up a remarkable set of facts ‘n’ stats in the US and beyond: these include 4 Grammy nominations, 4 Platinum Awards, 20 million records sold, 3 consecutive US #1 albums, unmatched airplay records at radio, and many more…
“I think you can hear a real hunger in the sound,” says Erna. “We’re all pretty fired up at the moment, and that extends to taking our music overseas. It’s time to give some real focus to our touring activities outside of North America, and we think this new single will make our intentions clear. It’s one for the fans, and that means our fans everywhere…”
Produced & mixed by Dave Fortnam (Slipknot, Evanescence, etc.) working closely with Erna, ‘1000HP’ (the album) was recorded in Godsmack’s new HQ just 30 minutes from the heart of Boston, and the band’s calling-card weight, groove, power and spiritual tone are in evidence throughout, tempered here an’ there by more reflective moments, and – in certain cases – something of a new drift.
