+ CONFIRMED FOR ‘FIREFEST’ 2014
BROTHER FIRETRIBE – the melodic rock maestros from Finland featuring Nightwish guitarist Emppu Vuorinen – have announced the release of third studio album, ‘Diamond In The Firepit’; this 12-track offering will be issued on May 5th via Spinefarm Records.
‘Diamond In The Firepit’ is the band’s first full-length release since ‘Heart Full Of Fire’ (2008), a gold record in their native Finland; the BFT catalogue is completed by debut album, ‘Breakout’ (2006), plus the ‘Live At Apollo’ DVD (2010).
On the live front, BFT will be bringing their ‘freeway anthems’ to British shores for the first time this year, having confirmed an appearance at ‘Firefest’ (Rock City, Nottingham) on October 26th. UK headline dates are also in discussion.
With a video for new single ‘For Better Or For Worse’ now in the bag, and ‘Diamond…’ being talked about as the best BFT album to date, 2014 will be the year when these brothers in (melodic) metal make their mark across the board.
GHOST add a Swedish Grammis for “Best Hard Rock/ Metal Album” to their list of accolades and awards for their 2013 full-length outing, INFESTISSUMAM. The ceremony took place last night in Stockholm, Sweden.

INFESTISSUMAM is the band’s second studio album, produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Alice in Chains) in Nashville, TN; the record debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock Album Chart in the US, where SPIN cited it as, "one of the most anticipated heavy metal albums of 2013”.
In addition to this, Ghost have announced their involvement in Sonisphere UK 2014, joining a three-day event headlined by The Prodigy, Iron Maiden & Metallica, and running from July 4th-6th.
Ghost will continue to spread their message via rock hymns that glorify and glamorise the disgusting and the sacrilegious.
“It is an honour to be playing at the unholy ground that is Knebworth, where so many classic rock concerts have taken place throughout the years,” says A Nameless Ghoul.
More UK touring plans will be revealed shortly.
WATCH 'AS THE CROW FLIES' BELOW...
‘As The Crow Flies’ is taken from the debut Newsted album, ‘Heavy Metal Music’, out now on Spinefarm Records. Since parting ways with Metallica, Jason has lent his signature skills to a selection of artists, including Voivod & Ozzy, but ‘As The Crow Flies’ (complete with brand new video) is very much his own work. The groove is immense, and the vocals are his, too. Heavy Metal Music, indeed!

“Comatose was written in and out of various lucid dreams and starred a very naked, Aphrodite-esque Brit Marling and myself – she would lead me though all sorts of psychedelic realities… we’d talk, learn about the universe, feel, play and I never really wanted to wake up…” – Luis Felber, Turbogeist guitarist
Single artwork for ‘Comatose’ has been created by Alex Mahood – the artist responsible for designing the sleeve of Turbogeist’s ‘Alien Girl’ single.
On the live front, Turbogeist will join Radkey on their 8-date UK tour starting on Feb 24th in Birmingham and finishing at the world renowned 100 Club in London.
“Turbogeist have been busy rehearsing for this upcoming tour with Radkey and Lyger; it’s going to be so much fun! We know Lyger and are looking forward to hanging out with Radkey. I’ve heard that in the land of the free they are totally under-age for drinking and debauchery, but here in our fair English isle anything goes! Here comes the whiskey train! Stopping at Blackout Central and waking up in Orgy Lane! It’s gonna be a rage-athon!”
