PROTEST THE HERO WIN JUNO AWARD FOR ‘BEST METAL / HARD MUSIC ALBUM’
+ ANNOUNCED TO PLAY SONISPHERE UK 2014…
At the 2014 Juno Awards, Canada’s premier music industry event, Protest The Hero received the Juno for ‘Best Metal / Hard Music Album of 2013’ for their current studio outing, Volition, out now via Spinefarm Records.
The band was appearing in Wilmington, North Carolina, on the second leg of their North American tour for Volition, when they received the news.
Says PTH guitarist Tim Millar: “We are very proud to be recognised by the Juno Awards for ‘Best Metal / Hard Music Album of 2013’. 2013 was a crazy year, and without all the hard work of the people who made the record come to life, and all the people who contributed to the record before hearing a single note, this album would not have been possible. We are forever in your debt.”
Guitarist Luke Hoskin adds: "We are thrilled with our recent Juno win! We had incredible company in our category, and it could have gone to anyone. We remain proud Canadians even though we are currently touring south of the border. Thanks for all the support!"
In addition to this, PTH have been announced to play Sonisphere UK 2014. The three-day rock and metal event will return to the grounds of Knebworth House from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6, after a two-year absence. The UK leg of the international touring festival will help celebrate Knebworth’s 40th anniversary of staging rock concerts.
Sonisphere 2014 is one of many European festival appearances confirmed for PTH this summer, with France’s Hellfest and Germany’s With Full Force Festival already announced.
Further UK / European touring will follow in the autumn.

DYNAZTY have made their brand new album ‘Renatus’ available to stream in its entirety, a week ahead of its official release on March 31st via the Spinefarm label.
Stream ‘Renatus’ in full here: https://soundcloud.com/spinefarmrecords/cross-the-line?in=spinefarmrecords/sets/dynazty-renatus
‘Renatus’ sees the Swedish rockers building on the musical direction of their previous recordings, embracing a broader vision and a bigger sound…
“After 4 years, 3 studio albums and shows on almost every continent, we took the time in 2012 to figure out what we wanted to be in the future, updating ourselves musically and sonically; and once we started to write ‘Renatus’, everything fell into place. This album is heavier and faster-paced, with big arrangements built around soaring vocal melodies.
“This is a new era for Dynazty: the first album with our new bass player and band member, Jonathan Olsson, the first to be produced by ourselves, and the first to be released on Spinefarm” – Nils Molin, Dynazty vocalist.
Having already grown to ‘household name’ status in Sweden, with most recent album (‘Sultans Of Sin’) charting Top 10 week one, and toured internationally (including a run of dates in China), the band have created a new 10-track offering that showcases the depth of both their song-writing and their ambition.

More UK dates, singles & videos will follow in due course.
DYNAZTY is: Nils Molin (vox) | Love Magnusson (guitar) | George Egg (drums) | Mikael Lavér (guitar) | Jonathan Olsson (bass)

‘Diamond In The Firepit’ is the band’s first full-length release since ‘Heart Full Of Fire’ (2008), a gold record in their native Finland; the BFT catalogue is completed by debut album, ‘Breakout’ (2006), plus the ‘Live At Apollo’ DVD (2010).
Singer Pekka Ansio Heino spoke about the band’s upcoming release:
“We're thrilled to be back in action after 5 years which seems like a life time! We wouldn't be THIS thrilled if the new album hadn't turned out be exactly how we wanted it to be. It's just as bold, big, polished, hooky and sticky as we pictured it. A lot of hard work was spent making it happen and now it's time for the best part of making music; taking it out and playing it live. We can't wait to meet our old friends again and hopefully make some new ones along the way. Hope you enjoy Diamond In The Firepit. Thanks for still being there and sorry for the delay, let's have some serious fun!”
Diamond in the Firepit Track Listing:
02. Love's Not Enough
03. Far Away from Love
04. For Better or for Worse
06. Edge Of Forever
07. Hanging by a Thread
08. Trail of Tears
09. Winner Takes It All
10. Tired of Dreaming
11. Reality Bites
12. Close To the Bone

+ CONFIRMED FOR SONISPHERE 2014
The Cadillac Three – the three-piece band, born an’ raised in Nashville, whose gloriously ragged blend of blues, southern rock, country and pure metallic weight has been causing quite a stir – have released a new 4-track EP via the Spinefarm label.
‘I’m Southern’ – a song from the group’s debut album, ‘Tennessee Mojo’, also out on Spinefarm – leads the way, supported by three previously unreleased acoustic tracks, recorded during the band’s first visit to the UK in December 2013.
The track-listing for this digital EP is:-
1. I'm Southern
2. Tennessee Mojo (acoustic version)
3. The South (acoustic version)
4. I'm Southern (acoustic version)
‘I’m Southern’ is backed by a video partly filmed at the Barfly in Camden Town, North London, where TC3 played their debut UK show; since then, the band have been back over to appear with a variety of artists, including Blackberry Smoke and the Graveltones, in whose company they completed three co-headline UK shows in February / March.
At the moment, TC3 (vocalist / guitarist Jaren Johnston, bassist / slide guitarist Kelby Ray and drummer Neil Mason) are preparing to embark on a major run of US dates, but they are confirmed to return to the UK for the Sonisphere festival at Knebworth Park on July 4th - 6th, followed by further shows in the autumn.
