BRKN LOVE RELEASE VOL. 1 EP

Toronto-based alt rock band BRKN LOVE, fresh off playing shows in North America in support of Badflower, have released the first of two EPs due out this year.

Vol. 1 is out today and is available here.

“Our new EP is the next evolution of BRKN LOVE. Through years of touring and endless hours of playing, I think we finally figured out who we are,” says lead vocalist/guitarist Justin Benlolo, “These are the songs we’ve been trying to write for years but could never quite figure out. We really put a lot of thought and effort into what we would do next, considering it’s been a while since we’ve released anything and we really turned it up to eleven this time around.

It has everything you would expect from but it’s bigger and badder. The awesome thing is that this collection is still only the tip of the iceberg and we have much more coming in the near future. We are beyond excited to share this with you so turn it up and enjoy!”

Benlolo will also be sharing the stage on lead guitar at The Parthenon in Greece on June 27th with Grammy Award winner Desmond Child for his tribute concert to benefit the Acropolis Museum.

VOL 1. TRACK LISTING:

"Little Black Box"

"Deadweight"

"Like a Drug"

"One In the Same"

ABOUT BRKN LOVE:

Fronted by the compelling Justin Benlolo, BRKN LOVE have been creating quite the stir since the release of their self-titled debut album. Picking up over 253 million streams to date, with their Spotify monthly listeners peaking at 580k, single "Shot Down" landed at #15 in US Active Rock radio charts and #5 in the Canadian equivalent, whilst "Crush" reached #5 in Canada’s Active Rock radio charts. Additionally, the bands cover of Bishop Briggs' "River" has become something of a viral sensation. Recorded specifically for a special deluxe version of their debut record, it currently has over 55,000 unique videos featuring the track created on TikTok, boasting over 1.9 billion total views across all user and professionally-generated content platforms. Previous single "Deadweight," the first new track to follow the band's debut album — went straight in the top 5 at Canadian Active Rock radio and has seen the hype carry overseas, with UK BBC Radio One presenters, Dan P. Carter and Jack Saunders, both giving the song airtime. Saunders called it "the new age of rock and roll" on his BBC Radio One Indie Show.

The band has also toured with a number of rock peers including Cleopatrick, Highly Susupect, Pop Evil, Big Wreck, Dinosaur Pile-Up and more.

Meanwhile, amongst all this early success, Justin Benlolo has been picked up by Gibson Guitars to promote the new line of Gibson Guitar Strings.
